Nikomix is the artist project of Roskilde/Copenhagen-based musician and audio engineer Nikolaj Dalsgaard. The project blends melodic, cinematic alt-pop with ’80s-inspired synth textures and a groovy rhythm section.

Driven by themes of mental health, emotional resilience, human connection, life choices, and hope in an uncertain world, the music turns raw honesty into something alive, melodic, and direct. There is melancholy in the atmosphere, but always with a sense of motion, release, and possibility.

Whether it’s a quiet moment of piano-vocal-led intimacy or a massive anthem, Nikomix builds a sound that is both expansive and deeply personal. It’s music that feels equally at home in an intimate room as it does in an arena, blending modern sonic textures with a timeless sense of melody.

Nikomix is a culmination of many influences. The soundscape is shaped by artists like Coldplay, Radiohead, The Weeknd, Sting, Pharrell Williams, and Justin Timberlake, to name a few. Somewhere in there, about 2% of Nikolaj's background as a jazz musician keeps sneaking in.
